IN KEEPING WITH THE CUB SCOUT MOTTO “DO YOUR BEST,” WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO ENSURE THAT EACH SCOUT WILL HAVE A FUN AND SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE AT ANY OF THE CUB RESIDENT PROGRAMS AVAILABLE.
Cub Scout Camp at Camp Akela provides the opportunities for a Scout to try hiking, boating, outdoor skills, field sports, shooting sports, rafts, swimming, woodworking, nature studies, and campfires; these are just some of the activities the Scout will have a chance to enjoy. Resident Camp at Camp Akela provides the staff and equipment.
Scouts and Leaders provide the enthusiasm!
Throughout their time in camp, Scouts are given the opportunity to complete a variety of achievements and advancements while they enjoy the exciting program.
Mid-Iowa Council’s Cub Scout Resident Camp program is designed specifically for the needs and abilities of today’s Scouting youth. It is our desire that each Scout who participates will catch the Scouting fever and continue to the rank of Eagle Scout.
